3:15pm
R69 [UNFINISHED/INACHEVÉ]
Dir. Charles Gagnon (1969), 53 min.

Conceived in 1969, Gagnon described R69 as being about the day in the life of an artist. A central scene shows Yves Gaucher in his studio making his painting R69 in the building he shared with Gagnon and Jean McEwen on rue St-Paul Ouest in Old Montreal. Gagnon’s camerawork captures an embodies sense of a painter’s daily practice.
