Papier15 is right around the corner!

April 24 - 26, 2015
Complexe de Gaspé, 5445 de Gaspé

In just a few weeks, Papier15 will be setting up in the remarkable space of the Complexe de Gaspé. With great enthusiasm, AGAC is pleased to invite the public to discover this vibrant contemporary art venue in Montreal, an opportunity that is sure to offer unique and engaging experiences for visitors.

Due to plans for major construction at the Esplanade Clark in downtown Montreal, the location of last year’s fair, the AGAC team had to conduct an extensive search for a new venue this year. During this search, the Complexe de Gaspé proved an exceptional option with its expansive and luminous upper floors and remarkable views of the city. Hosting the fair at the Complexe de Gaspé this year will allow Papier to expand in many ways; more projects and educational programming will be presented, including a dedicated space for video projections and the installation of large-scale works throughout as part of the Papier Projects programming. The allocated space for each gallery has also been greatly increased this year.

The Complexe de Gaspé, a cultural hub to discover
Situated in the heart of the Mile End neighbourhood, which boasts the highest concentration of artists in Canada, and hosting six artist-run centres (Centre Clark, Dazibao, Diagonale, Occurrence, Optica and l'Atelier Circulaire) and over 100 artist studios, the Complexe de Gaspé is a vibrant and important epicentre for the visual arts in Montreal. This is an exceptional opportunity for Papier to occupy a difference place in the city and to offer visitors the chance to discover a unique part of Montreal’s rich art scene!

Free daily shuttles service
To insure easy access to Papier in its new location, there will be a free shuttle service, between downtown and the Complexe de Gaspé, that will run throughout the fair. A shuttle service will also run from the Laurier metro to Papier every 20 minutes.

The highly anticipated 8th edition of Papier is sure to be outstanding. AGAC is very much looking forward to seeing you there!
