This is a short film directed by gallery artist Albert Kish.  In 1967 he began a long and distinguished career at The National Film Board (NFB) in Montréal where he directed and edited many award winning films.  In particular, three films about photography: This is a Photograph, Notman’s World and The Age of Invention.

Summertime is the story of Jane Hudson, played by Katharine Hepburn, a single, middle-aged secretary from America.  While enjoying her life long dream, and life savings, vacationing in Venice, Italy, Jane unexpectedly finds romance with a married man and father of a large family.  Regardless, Jane is determined to keep her romance alive and deal with the consequences.
