Catch-22
is a 1970 war film adapted from the book by Joseph Heller with the same
name. The film is a satirical war film and a black comedy. Captain
Yossarian (played by Alan Arkin) is a United States Army Air Forces B-25
bombardier who is stationed on the Mediterranean island of Pianosa
during WWII. He finds himself in a catch-22 when he sees his co workers
dying flying the planes and tries to escape.
