Gallery Artist Sunil Gupta Exhibit Reopens in New Delhi

"Like racism, homophobia works in invisible ways. I believe there’s a conservative lobby in the infrastructure of things and they have mounted pressure on the situation in some way. Had there been photographs of women or hetero-sexual scenes, I don’t think there would be this kind of a reaction"
-Sunil Gupta, interview with Tehelka

Sunil Gupta's exhibit, Sun City and Other Stories, at Alliance Française in New Delhi was temporarily closed due to an individual's complaint regarding the content of the photographs. We are pleased to announce that the exhibit has been reopened as of yesterday, and will be shown until April 15.
