BONNIE AND CLYDE
Dir. Arthur Penn (USA, 1967) 112 mins

Bonnie Parker (Faye Dunaway), a bored small-town girl, and Clyde Barrow (Warren Beatty), a small-time bank robber, engage in a crime spree that extends from Oklahoma to Texas. Based on a true story, the film personifies the two bank robbers that became minor celebrities to the Depression-struck Mid-West. People were proud to have been held up by Bonnie and Clyde; to their victims, the duo was doing what nobody else had the nerve to do. To the law, the two were evil bank robbers who deserved to be gunned down in their tracks.
